Members of the NHC trail maintenance crew have scheduled a hike for Monday, May 6th to learn the process of blazing. Meet at the NHC Clubhouse, 173 Carl Slagle Road, Franklin, NC at 9:00 AM. Call Bill Van Horn at 369-1983 if you’re going to attend.

  • A trail maintenance hike led by Bob Williams
  • A presentation by Warren Doyle – “34,000 Miles of Trail Stories”
  • A phenology training session with ATC’s John Odell; John will be discussing the importance of monitoring the life cycles of plants and animals along the trail, and how citizen scientists can get involved.
